“Apakah itu Hari Gawai ? Macam menarik pula.”

💕Iggi, sebutir biji padi yang baru dilahirkan, berusaha dengan gigih untuk mencari maksud Hari Gawai dan ingin meraikan perayaan ini.

Apakah yang dialami oleh Iggi sepanjang pengembaraannya ?

Bagaimanakah kaum Dayak menyambut Hari Gawai ?

Apakah maksud “Gayu Guru Gerai Nyamai” ?

Adakah Iggi berjaya untuk meraikan Hari Gawai pada akhirnya?

Marilah kita mengembara bersama Iggi.

The artist used oil pastels and acrylics, which are difficult to control on small size illustrations. She meticulously painted the scenery, characters, and objects, then cut them out one by one for photographing and arranging—a truly dedicated effort. Since the artist is from Sarawak and has always found the Iban motif art to be beautiful, she then tried incorporating these elements in the picture book.

The writer's story is filled with childlike innocence, beginning with a curious grain named Iggi exploring the journey of Hari Gawai. With a mix of nervousness and anticipation, Iggi witnesses the preparations for the celebration.

During the early editorial discussions, since the artist loves butterflies and draws them well,  so  the Rajah Brooke’s birdwing butterfly should be included to accompany Iggi on this exciting adventure. Therefore, instead of the commonly featured hornbill in local picture books, this story features the beautiful butterfly, making Iggi's journey even more vibrant and colorful.
